Account & Data Deletion Request — Chess Elo Finder

Chess Elo Finder ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. Chess Elo Finder does not require an account, but you can still delete all locally stored data and request deletion of any server-side records.
Option 1: Delete Locally Stored Data
All of your rating progress, puzzle history, and preferences are stored on your device. To delete them:
- Open the device Settings app.
- Go to Apps → Chess Elo Finder.
- Tap Storage and choose Clear data (or Uninstall to remove the app entirely).
This permanently removes your estimated ELO rating, solved puzzle history, theme selections, and all other app settings from your device.
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you would like us to delete any data associated with you, email us:
Please include the following in your email:
- The subject line: "Data Deletion Request — Chess Elo Finder"
- A brief description of your request.
We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation once complete.
Data Deleted
- Rating Data: Your estimated ELO rating and rating history.
- Puzzle Progress: Solved, missed, and skipped puzzle records.
- App Preferences: Selected themes, difficulty levels, and settings.
Data Retained
The following data is not affected by a deletion request because it is unrelated to your identity or is anonymized:
- Advertising Data: Google AdMob collects anonymous advertising IDs independent of your account. Refer to the AdMob Privacy Policy for details.
- Anonymous Usage Statistics: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked to your identity.
Retention Period
- Local App Data: Retained on your device until you clear or uninstall the app.
- Backups: If we maintain service backups, residual data may persist for up to 90 days before being fully purged.
- AdMob Data: Governed by Google's retention policies. See the AdMob Privacy Policy.
